Custom Staining & Color Matching

The color of your floors sets the tone for your entire home. Whether you are restoring a historic property or modernizing a suburban build, settling for a "close enough" stain from a brochure isn't an option. We treat floor staining as an art form.

1

The Blank Canvas

We sand a dedicated section of your floor completely down to the raw, bare wood to ensure an accurate test area.

2

Live Sampling

We apply multiple stain options side-by-side directly onto your floor boards, so you can see exactly how the wood reacts.

3

The Lighting Test

We leave the samples for you to observe in your home’s unique morning, afternoon, and artificial evening light.

4

Custom Blending

Can’t find the exact shade in a standard can? We expertly mix custom ratios to create a signature color uniquely yours.

Popular Stain Profiles

Timeless Classics

Provincial, Early American, and Antique Brown for a warm, traditional feel.

Modern & Light

Natural (clear coat), White Wash, and Weathered Oak for a bright, coastal look.

Rich & Bold

Dark Walnut, True Black, and Espresso for dramatic, high-contrast elegance.

The "Greige" Trend

Custom blends of gray and brown that bridge the gap between warm and cool tones.

Why You Should Never Trust a Brochure

A stain color will look drastically different depending on the wood it's applied to. "Dark Walnut" will pull heavy red tones on Red Oak, but look deep and neutral on White Oak or Pine. Because every home's wood species, age, and grain pattern is unique, on-site sampling is the only way to guarantee the final result.
